How Sound Carries Visualisation and Shapes Consciousness
Sound is more than vibration; it is information in motion. When we listen deeply — not just with our ears but with our entire being — sound becomes a carrier of consciousness, influencing the body’s most subtle systems.
The Cerebrospinal Fluid and the Inner Sound Current
In Human Tuning, Dr. John Beaulieu describes how cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) — the clear liquid that bathes the brain and spinal cord — may act as a conductor for vibrational information. The CSF flows rhythmically through the brain’s ventricles, including the third and fourth ventricles, before circulating down the spinal column. This fluid pulse carries structured water and is synchronised with breath, heartbeat, and subtle craniosacral rhythms.
From a scientific standpoint, CSF plays a vital role in maintaining brain homeostasis, cushioning neural tissue, and clearing metabolic waste. Yet, Beaulieu and others propose that it also acts as a medium for vibrational encoding — a kind of “liquid light” that carries the resonant information of sound through the nervous system. When tuning forks are applied near the body or on specific points, micro-vibrations travel through tissues and fluids, influencing this internal rhythm.
Sound as a Vehicle for Intention
Every sound wave carries energy and structure. When paired with focused intention — a clear mental image or emotional state — that structure becomes coherent. In physics, coherence refers to waves vibrating in harmony; in consciousness, it reflects alignment between thought, emotion, and body. During a tuning fork session, the client’s visualisation acts as a form of informational imprinting. The sound provides the carrier wave, and the intention provides the code. A pre discussed sonic anchor is then applied to lock in the feeling and make it accessible at any time.
This is not unlike how electromagnetic waves carry data in communication systems. In the human system, the “data” is consciousness itself — belief, emotion, memory, and vision — transmitted through the medium of sound and fluid resonance.
Why Clients See Geometry
Many clients report seeing colours and geometric forms or patterns during Soundwork sessions. These experiences can be understood through both neurophysiology and sacred geometry.
From a scientific view, rhythmic auditory stimulation can entrain brainwave patterns, shifting the nervous system into alpha or theta states — the same frequencies associated with meditation and visionary imagery. In these states, the brain’s visual cortex may translate vibrational coherence into geometric imagery, similar to cymatics, where sound frequencies create visible patterns in matter.
Spiritually, geometry is the language of creation — the form through which vibration becomes structure. When clients see geometry, they are witnessing the interface between sound and form, consciousness and matter. It is the inner vision of harmony taking shape.
The Union of Science and Spirit
Sound therapy sits at the meeting point of measurable vibration and mystical experience. The tuning fork becomes both a scientific instrument and a sacred tool. It invites the body’s fluids, cells, and consciousness to remember their natural order — to “retune” to coherence.
When the practitioner and client work together using R.E.M. with clear intent, visualisation, vibration and sound, the process becomes an act of creation. The brain’s fluids move in rhythm, the nervous system synchronises, and the geometry of healing unfolds from within.
