The journey behind OneSong Healing Arts
My journey into healing work began with Reiki, but over the years my curiosity has taken me much further into the relationship between the human body, sensation, sound and vibration.
I have always been interested in what happens beneath the surface — how we experience ourselves through the body, how we respond to touch and sound, and what happens when we are given the space to become quiet enough to notice.
That curiosity eventually led me to tuning forks.
What began as an interest gradually became a specialist area of my practice. The more I learned, the more fascinated I became by the precision of working with vibration: different frequencies, intervals, weights, points of contact and ways of introducing vibration to the body.
Today, tuning-fork therapy is at the heart of my work.
From Reiki to Resonance
Reiki remains an important part of who I am as a practitioner, but my work with tuning forks developed along a different path.
I became increasingly interested in the physical experience of vibration — not simply listening to sound, but feeling it through the body.
This led me to explore how different tuning forks could be used in therapeutic work and to study the work of practitioners and researchers who were exploring sound, vibration and the human body in greater depth.
My practice has continued to develop through training, hands-on experience, observation and ongoing study.
I don't see this as a finished journey. There is still much to learn about the relationship between vibration, sensory experience and the nervous system, and that is part of what keeps me interested in the work.
Becoming a tuning-fork specialist
I now work extensively with weighted and unweighted tuning forks, developing and refining techniques for different therapeutic applications.
My work has been influenced by the teaching and research of Dr John Beaulieu, particularly his work around Human Tuning, intervals and the physiological dimensions of sound, as well as by other experienced practitioners within the field.
I am particularly interested in the point where traditional sound practices meet contemporary understanding of the human body.
This has led me to explore subjects including sensory processing, interoception, mechanotransduction and nervous-system regulation alongside the practical application of tuning-fork therapy.
I take an evidence-aware approach to this work. Where there is good research, I want to understand it. Where evidence is still emerging, I believe it is important to say so.
There is no need to make exaggerated claims about sound and vibration for the work to be fascinating.
Two practices, two traditions
Although Reiki and tuning-fork therapy are both part of my professional life, I don't believe they need to be blended together to make either one more meaningful.
Traditional Reiki is Reiki.
Tuning-fork therapy is a different area of practice, with its own techniques, influences and developing body of knowledge.
Keeping that distinction allows me to respect the traditions I have been taught while continuing to explore new ideas and approaches in my tuning-fork work.
It is an approach that feels honest to me.
Teaching in Cyprus
Teaching has become an important part of my work, particularly through my traditional Japanese Reiki training.
I keep my Reiki teaching personal and practical, with an emphasis on understanding the practice rather than simply completing a course.
For me, teaching is about passing on what I have been taught with respect for the tradition, while giving students the space to develop their own experience and understanding.
I offer Traditional Usui Ryoho Reiki training in Cyprus for those who want to explore Reiki as a personal practice and for those who wish to continue their journey towards professional practice.
OneSong Healing Arts
OneSong Healing Arts brings these different strands of my work together in one place.
The people who have influenced my tuning fork work
My tuning-fork practice has been influenced particularly by the work and teaching of Marko Zigon and Dr John Beaulieu.
Dr Beaulieu's work with Human Tuning and the physiological and sensory dimensions of sound has been particularly influential in developing my understanding of intervals, tuning systems and the relationship between sound and the body.
These influences have encouraged me to look beyond the idea of sound simply being something we listen to.
They have contributed to my continuing exploration of vibration, sensory experience, nervous-system regulation and the ways different tuning-fork techniques can be applied therapeutically.
My own practice continues to evolve through further study, observation and hands-on experience.
